Apparently Roy Keane has added his own wrinkle to his lessons learned from Sir Alex: he doesn’t talk to his players. According to Clive Clarke, a former Sunderland defender who suffered heart failure on the pitch last summer:
“He’s going around booting chairs and throwing things. He’s never going to give you confidence, he doesn’t talk to lads.
“If the lads at Man United couldn’t reach the standards he wanted, and they’re some of the best players in the world, then it’s going to be a lot harder for the lads at Sunderland to reach them.”
Well, I suppose he has to try something. There aren’t enough hairdryers on earth to make Sunderland play like United.

You thought his price tag was pretty inflated at 25m pounds. At 30m, you began to wonder if they were speaking about the same player you’d seen play. When it reached 35m you started aloud. Brace yourselves: According to Sportingo, Alex Ferguson is, ” putting the finishing touches on a club-record £40m bid for Dimitar Berbatov.” If this is true, and Manchester United spends 40 million pounds on a fourth international striker, I would almost feel embarrassed.
